A markup is when a seller raises the price a few days before a promo so they can later “give a discount” from the inflated price. Marketplaces and sellers are allowed to do this, but we keep 90 days of price history and compare the promo price with the true low. If the price was lower before the promo, it's obvious right away.

The “−70%” number means nothing without a reference. If the “was” price was inflated before the promo, the real discount can be zero or even negative. Palert compares the current price with the 90-day low — if it doesn't break that low, the 70% is likely marketing.

Yes. The feed has filters by category, seller, brand, and keyword. A saved filter (e.g. “electronics with 30%+ off”) sends an alert for every new match on paid plans.

The feed updates as our parser finds new price drops — usually every 1–2 hours. The key filter is the 90-day-history comparison; without it a product doesn't reach the feed.

Yes. The filter has a “discount size” parameter — you can set 50% or any other threshold. The saved filter will send an alert whenever a new matching product appears.
